The authors attended Redemption '09. This was The Multimedia Science Fiction Convention at the Britannia Hotel, Coventry, that took place between Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd of February 2009. There, the authors ran a Melrose book stall and attempted to sell as many copies of their book as possible, sell as many copies of other Melrose sci-fi books as possible, and have a jolly good time in the company of like-minded individuals. Fortunately they were more successful than on their previous visits to the city where they:

a) failed to find a decent bar (Gene)

b) got told off in the new cathedral for using a mobile phone (Andrew) and

c) had their hotel catch fire at 3am in the morning (Andrew).

Gene attended the Hitchin Beer And Cider Festival in March to sell and sign copies of the book. He won't admit it, but it's a fair bet he had a pint or two whilst he was there. A copy of the book was awarded as a prize in a competition to select the festival's best beer.

Andrew will be sacked (which many would actually consider just, given that he seems to spend most days working on this web page and not doing any work...)
